Flight 88 started in 2004 as a site for aviation enthusiasts and evolved into today’s incarnation as a blog and interest site with an Aviation English focus, with focus being used liberally, since as you probably saw by now that my posts can comprise a medley of professional and personal topics. My name’s Bobby and I am, surprise surprise, an Aviation English trainer, teacher trainer, and assessment specialist. I have been involved in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) for over 17 years now, the most recent 6 years in Aviation English. In my former lives I worked in the advertising, design, fashion, music, publishing, retail, and consumer products industries, just to name a few. Flight 88 is intended to be informative, opinionated, and hopefully fun to read. I welcome your comments and suggestions.
